Quick answer

Nepo Baby gives the easier financial start: ₦500,000, a level 3 Banking job, a car and a Lekki home with rent covered by Daddy. LAPO Baby starts with a loan and lower housing choices, but gets Hustle 2 and a 25% skill-learning bonus. You cannot choose between them: the birth lottery is decided once per account, and starting a new life does not reroll it.

These values were checked against the official starting-life rules and housing configuration on 4 October 2026. They describe the configured start, rather than a promise about an account affected by a later update or restoration.

Can you choose or reroll your origin?

No. The official character-creation interface says the result is decided once for your account. Starting a new life replaces the life, rather than guaranteeing a different origin.

The public interface does not disclose a verified probability for receiving Nepo Baby. If the lottery cannot be reached, it can show a self-made fallback. Do not assume that message grants the usual LAPO loan and skill perks; check the resulting balance and loan panel.

The Terms of Service say one person, one account. Creating extra accounts to chase a preferred roll is not a supported starting strategy.

LAPO Baby: choose the bill you can sustain

LAPO Baby: choose the bill you can sustain
HomeHome's base starting cashLoan receivedTotal opening cashWeekly rentRent plus normal loan payment
Mushin: Face-me-I-face-you₦16,000₦60,000₦76,000₦2,400₦14,400
Yaba: Self-contain₦36,000₦60,000₦96,000₦6,000₦18,000

The home's starting cash is money credited to your Sim, not a housing deposit you need to pay. Yaba adds ₦20,000 to the opening balance but costs ₦3,600 more each week. That extra starting cash equals about 5.6 weeks of the rent difference; it is a cushion, not permanently cheaper housing.

Mushin is the lower-cost option. Yaba offers a larger room and capacity for five guests rather than three. Choose it if those benefits matter enough to support the higher recurring bill.

How the LAPO loan works

Receiving ₦60,000 creates ₦72,000 total debt. Normal collections are ₦12,000 every seven game days, starting from the loan's payment cycle. Six successful normal payments clear the original debt if no penalties are added.

Rent and loan collections are separate: rent is on Saturday, while the loan follows its seven-day payment cycle. Keep both amounts available rather than relying on a single Saturday deadline.

If a normal ₦12,000 collection fails, the penalty is 10% of that due payment: ₦1,200. The penalty adds to the debt, so six payments will no longer cover the total. To pay early, open your Sim’s panel → Goals → LAPO loan. Choose Pay … now for the next payment, or Pay it all off and confirm for the remaining balance. The official Goals panel shows the amount left; confirm that it falls or that Loan paid off appears.

Paying everything early is a choice. It removes the loan, but also uses cash that may be needed for rent, food or travel. The decision should come from your upcoming bills, not from treating borrowed cash as spare income.

Your first LAPO actions

  1. Inspect the home and starter items before buying furniture.
  2. Reserve ₦14,400 in Mushin or ₦18,000 in Yaba for a normal rent-plus-loan cycle, then allow for everyday costs.
  3. Apply for a job. Hustle 2 already clears the skill threshold for the first promotion in Trading, Hairstyling and Event Planning, but you still need full work performance.
  4. Use side gigs between shifts. WhatsApp Hustle benefits from the starting Hustle level without requiring a Laptop Desk purchase.

Compare jobs and salaries before choosing between a Hustle career and Banking's higher entry pay.

Nepo Baby: protect the head start

The Branch Manager job pays ₦15,000 per full base shift on scheduled Banking days. The next promotions require Charisma 5 and 7 respectively, alongside 100% performance. Starting at Charisma 2 does not automatically qualify you for either promotion.

Keep the existing Banking job unless you deliberately want another career. Switching starts the new career at level 1 and gives up the level 3 salary.

A POS Stand costs the entire ₦500,000 opening balance. It is affordable on paper, but an immediate purchase leaves no cash buffer and the first business does not guarantee a same-day payment. Build room for living costs and losses before committing; see the business comparison.

Daddy's rent support is conditional. If you use Call Daddy for bail, a Daddy debt is created and you pay the Lekki rent yourself while that debt is being recovered. Check Bank after the event instead of assuming rent will stay covered. The bail call also has a weekly cooldown.

Can LAPO Babies move to Lekki later?

Lekki is restricted at the normal LAPO home-selection stage, but a later housing move is a separate decision. Check the Homes panel's move-in amount and weekly rent before confirming. Ikoyi and Banana Island are later move-in options and still have recurring rent.

Use the money guide for the longer progression plan. The birth result changes the opening budget; the next promotion and the bills you keep paid determine what you can afford after that.
