Lagos Life Jobs & Salaries: Compare Pay and Promotions

The tables cover 14 careers and 70 job levels, checked against the official career configuration on 4 October 2026. Amounts are in-game naira and base pay before tax or bonuses. A scheduled week assumes every listed working day is completed at that level; it is a comparison, not a guaranteed balance increase.

Compare careers by weekly base pay

Football and Content Creator share the lowest entry pay, ₦2,400. Content Creator is not the only career at that amount. Weekly totals also explain why a larger shift payment does not always produce a larger weekly income: DJ pays more per top-level shift than Tech, but has four working days rather than five.

Working days and the actual work window

The current Jobs panel labels shifts “1-hour shifts, any time”. The work rules allow Go to work from 06:00 until before 22:00 on a working game day, provided today’s shift is not done and your Sim is not working, travelling, jailed or seriously sick. A full shift is configured as 60 game minutes; this is not a measured real-world hour.

Use the work button to start. Career-data start times and venue leisure opening hours do not define this button’s availability. For example, The Library’s nightlife opening window does not require a Teaching worker to wait until night.

Every job level and its promotion requirement

Each level after entry requires 100% work performance plus the listed career skill threshold. Skills 1, 3, 5 and 7 unlock levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively; learning the skill alone does not promote you. The official work rules check both conditions when a shift is settled.

Apply, start work and check your pay

1. Open Phone → Jobs, select the career and use Apply — start tomorrow.
2. Confirm the job title and next shift in Jobs.
3. On a working day, use Go to work. The official help says the button appears from 6 AM and sends your Sim directly into work.
4. Finish the shift and read the summary. Check the payment, tax, performance and any promotion notice.

Going to work also deducts up to ₦150 for transport from your available balance. Allow for that cost when comparing the full wallet change with the base wage.

If the button is absent, check the day, game clock, whether today's shift is already done, travel, imprisonment or serious sickness. The beginner guide has the recovery checklist.

Why the payment differs from the table

• You ended the shift early: the payout can be reduced.
• You earned a task bonus: winning at least four work tasks activates the configured 15% Employee of the shift bonus.
• A city wage policy is active: Minimum wage raise adds 15% while that policy is in force.
• Tax is due: eligible weekly earnings above the allowance produce deductions; see the tax explanation.
• You were promoted during settlement: the summary can show the new title while the completed shift's payment came from the previous level.

Bonuses and deductions are applied by the game, with rounding, so the table is a base reference. Use Bank and the shift summary to understand the actual payout.

Change careers without an unexpected pay cut

Use the Jobs panel's switch option and read its confirmation. The new career begins at level 1 with reset work performance; reaching level 5 elsewhere does not place you at level 5 in the new track. Your skill can help clear later promotion gates, but it does not replace the entry position.

You can keep one formal career and earn through side gigs or owned businesses. Those are separate income systems, so their payments should not be counted as extra career shifts.
